Tamees is an old Arabian famous bread which is baked in unique ways and results in a soft, tender flatbread. It is best eaten when it is still warm.
In a bowl, put flour, sugar, yeast and salt. Mix the ingredients.
Add the water gradually and mix until smooth. With your hands, Knead the mixture until you get a firm dough.
Add the oil. knead the dough until smooth. Cover the bowl and set aside in a warm place for about one hour.
Divide the dough into two parts. Take part of the dough and place it on a floured worktop. With a rolling pin, spread the dough until half a centimeter thick. Repeat the process for the remaining dough.
Place the dough in an oven tray. With a fork, make holes in the face of the dough and cover with a towel. Repeat the process with the second dough and put it aside for 15 minutes to rest.
Heat the oven at 355 F (180 ° C).
Grease the face of the dough with milk. Put the bread in the oven until done and golden.
Take the bread out of the oven and serve hot directly after baking.
