Spicy rice with minced meat is a very famous recipe for rice that can be one of the main dishes at the lunch table. This dish has a distinctive flavor, thanks to the spices that are added to it.

 4 cups basmati rice, washed and drained
 1 onion, chopped
 1 tbsp garlic, mashed
 1 lbs (500 grams) ground beef or lamb, coarsely minced
 1 cup chickpeas, soaked overnight and boiled
 1 cinnamon stick
 1 tsp cardamom
 1 tsp whole black pepper
 1 bay leaf
 1 tbsp salt
 1 tbsp mixed spices
 1 tsp cumin
 1 tsp paprika
 1 tsp ground black pepper
 broth, as needed
 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Put the oil in a saucepan over the medium heat.

Add onion, garlic and whole spices.

Add the minced meat and stir until cooked.

Flavor with salt, paprika, mixed spices, black pepper and cumin.

Add the soaked and boiled chickpeas.

Add washed and drained basmati rice.

Pour the broth, and let it simmer, transfer into a serving dish. Garnish as desired. Serve hot.
