Kuwaiti lentil soup (shaurabat adas) with potatoes, lemon and favored with cumin is a tasty soup common to the Arabian Gulf.

In a saucepan over heat, add lentils, onions and 5 cups of water.
Stir the ingredients, then bring them to a boil over low heat.
Take the pot off the heat, then strain the lentils and onions and put them in the electric mixer.
Heat the ghee in a saucepan, then add the garlic, flavor with cumin, salt, and stir the ingredients.
Add tomato paste, lentils, and onions to the pot with 8 cups of water.
Leave the mixture for about 10 minutes on the heat, then add potatoes and lemon.
Bring the soup to a boil, then serve hot.
