Meghli, moghli, meghleh, (Arabic: مغلي), or karawiyah, is a Lebanese rice pudding spiced with cinnamon and caraway. It is a delicious dessert served to celebrate the birth of a child and during Christmas.
In a saucepan, add pounded rice, sugar, cinnamon, caraway and water.
Mix the ingredients with a whisk, then place the saucepan on a medium heat, and continue to whisk until boiling.
Reduce the heat and let the mixture boil for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly.
Pour the hot pudding into cups and let it cool completely in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours before serving.
When serving, top with about 1 teaspoon each of every type of nut and topping you choose to decorate with.
