Kofta bi tahini is a popular dish across the Middle East. It is made of ground meat mixed with onion, garlic, parsley and some spices. This version of kofta is baked in a creamy, lemony tahini sauce and can be served with rice or pita bread.
Preheat the oven to 355 F (180 ° C). Bring a wide oven dish.
Place the meat, onions, garlic, parsley, coriander in the grinder hopper using the finest disk. Switch on the grinder on medium speed.
Add spices and salt to the meat mixture and mix using your hands, then shape into medium sized meat balls.
In a large skillet, heat the oil, fry the pine nuts, set aside. Fry the kofta balls until golden.
Place the kofta balls in an oven dish
Sauce: In the same skillet add oil, onions, and stir until translucent.
In a deep dish, put the tahini, yogurt, water, lemon juice, salt, pepper and mix to get a liquid sauce. Add the sauce to the onion, then stir to mix with the onion. Pour sauce over kofta balls.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes on 355 F (180 ° C).
