Fatayer Kofta is an open-faced meat pie that is filled with (ground beef or lamb), tomatoes, eggs, and green pepper. They make perfect appetizers or entrees.
Preheat oven to 390 F. Bring a round oven tray (size 12 inch).
To prepare the dough: In the mixer bowl, put the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, milk powder, and yeast. Mix for a few seconds. While mixing, add oil and water. Continue mixing until a smooth dough is formed.
Put the dough in a greased dish with a little oil and cover it. Leave the dough in a warm place for about 15 minutes.
Stuffing: In a bowl, place eggs, salt, chili, green pepper, kofta and mix well to combine ingredients.
On a floured surface, roll the dough to a little more than the size of the tray. Put the rolled dough in the tray.
Spread the kofta mixture on the dough. Bend the edges of the dough on the kofta in an attractive way.
Put the tomato slices on the kofta then let the dough rest for about 10 minutes.. Brush the sides of the dough with egg yolks.
Bake for about 30 minutes until golden brown, then serve.
