Fistkieh is a delicious Syrian dessert with economical ingredients, simply made from shelled toasted peanuts and sugar syrup to bind the nuts together.
Place the sugar in a saucepan over medium heat and keep stirring until the sugar dissolves.
Add the butter and stir until it melts completely and the mixture gets thick.
Add the water and keep stirring until the mixture is back thick as it was before adding the water.
Add the toasted pistachios to the mixture and mix the ingredients well.
Grease a small size baking sheet with a cooking spray or lightly grease with some oil.
Pour the mixture in the pan and level it with a metal spatula. Allow to cool down completely and cut into medium sized squares. Serve.
