Shaklama is an authentic Arabic dessert, characterized by its ease of preparation that does not exceed twenty minutes. It depends on one main ingredient to prepare, which is coconut.

 2 egg whites
 1/2 cup sugar
 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
 1 cup grated coconut
 2 tablespoons flour
 1/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat the oven to 355 F (180 ° C).

In a bowl, mix well the egg whites with sugar and vanilla.

Add the coconut and mix well.

Add the flour and salt and mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Put a tablespoon of the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and be sure to keep the balls apart.

Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until the balls are golden.
