Sahlab (Middle Eastern Pudding)

This Middle Eastern winter-hot-silky-drink is quick and easy to prepare dessert that is loved by kids and adults alike! It's so warming especially during the winter nights.

 4 cups milk
 2 tsp sahlab
 4 tsp sugar
 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
 4 tsp grated coconut
 1 tsp ground cinnamon
 1 tsp ground ginger

In a thick saucepan, add the milk and let it boil over medium heat.

In a small deep dish, put the sahlab, sugar, cardamom, and stir until the sahlab powder is mixed with sugar.

Add the sahlab and sugar mixture to the boiled milk and stir quickly until the sugar melts and the milk thickens slightly. Keep stirring over low heat for 5 minutes.

Pour sahlab in cups. Decorate with coconut, cinnamon and ginger and serve immediately.
