Lebanese Nights Dessert (Layali Lubnan)

Layali Lubnan, its name directly translating to “Lebanese Nights", is an amazing aromatic well-loved dessert not only in Lebanon, but throughout the Middle East and it is quite refreshing in summer.

 1 cup soft semolina
 3 pieces of ground mastic
 3 tbsp sugar
 0.375 lbs cream
 4 cups liquid milk
 1 tbsp rose water
 1 tbsp blossom water
For Decoration
 banana, almond, walnuts, pine nuts, pistachio and honey

Put the ingredients in a cooking pot and mix well.

Put over medium heat while continuously stirring and scalping the bottom to prevent semolina from sticking.

When the pudding starts to thicken, pour immediately the hot pudding into your serving containers.

Let it cool down at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

Place in the fridge for 1 hour to chill then top it with a layer of cream.

Decorate with banana, almond, walnuts, pine nuts, pistachio and serve with honey or sugar syrup.
