Lebanese meatballs (Dawood Basha) is a delicious and famous dish in many countries with different label, and we will present today the original way of preparing this dish, which consists of balls of minced meat with spices dipped in delicious tomato sauce.

 2 lbs ground beef or lamb
 2 lbs ripe tomatoes
 2 large onions
 2 green bell peppers
 ½ cup chopped parsley
Meat Seasoning
 1 tbsp salt
 1 tsp black pepper
 ½ tsp ground cardamom
 ¼ tsp ginger crushed
 1 tsp sweet seasoning
 5 tbsp corn oil
Tomato Sauce Seasoning
 1 tsp salt
 1 tbsp tomato paste
 1 tsp black pepper
 1 tsp garlic powder
 ½ tsp ground cardamom

Mix the meat with the spices and knead well and form into balls.

Peel the tomatoes and chop them with green pepper and parsley in the food processor.

Chop the onion finely and add to the tomato mixture.

Add oil to a saucepan, chopped vegetables mixture, and Tomato sauce seasoning. cook over medium heat until the tomatoes start wilting.

Add meatballs and cover the saucepan and meatballs are well cooked. Serve hot with plain rice or rice and vermicelli.
