Kuwaiti Daqoos – Garlic Tomato Sauce

This is an easy delicious sauce to have with Gulf Arabian dishes, particularly common served with meat or chicken rice dishes.

 4 tomatoes, peeled and chopped
 4 garlic cloves, mashed
 2 hot red pepper, minced
 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  3 tablespoons vinegar
  1 tablespoon vegetable oil
 water - as needed
 1 teaspoon salt
 1/2 tsp black pepper

Mash the tomatoes with two tablespoons of water in the food processor until you get the sauce.

In a saucepan over the heat, heat the oil and saute garlic and hot red pepper.

Pour the vinegar and let it boil, then add the sauce and tomato paste, with salt and black pepper.

Stir the ingredients, and let the sauce on heat until thick.
