Kebab with Tomato Sauce

Made with beef or lamb, kebab is one of the easiest minced meat dishes. Learn an easy way to prepare it with the special taste of tomato sauce.

For kebabs:
 1 lbs (500 grams) minced meat:
 1/4 cup parsley finely chopped
 1 onion, grated
 1/4 tsp black pepper
 1/2 tsp salt
For tomato sauce:
 1 tsp tomato paste
 1 cup tomato, mashed
 1/2 cup tomato juice
 1 tbsp olive oil
 1/2 tsp salt
 1/4 tsp black pepper
 2 tbsp pine nuts, roasted for garnishing (optional)

To prepare kebabs: Mix minced meat with salt, pepper, Arabic seven spice mix, parsley and onions well until smooth.

Make medium balls of mixture and put them in a tray greased with olive oil.

Bake for 20 minutes at medium heat until browned, then remove it from the oven.

Mix the tomato juice with tomato paste, mashed tomato, salt and black pepper.

Place the grilled meatballs in an oven dish and pour the tomato mixture.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake at 390 F (200 C) for 40 minutes until the kebab is tender and the tomatoes are cooked.

Remove the dish from the oven and decorate it with toasted pine nuts and serve hot with rice or Arabic bread, as desired.
