Hummus Musabaha (Whole Chickpea Hummus)

Hummus Musabaha is one of the most popular appetizers in Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon. Chickpeas is the main ingredient for this dish and It is served with falafel, and grilled meat.

 1/4 cup tahini
 3 tbsp lemon juice
 2 cloves garlic, crushed
 1 tbsp water
 1 tsp salt
 2 cup boiled chickpeas
 1/4 cup butter
 1 tbsp pine nuts
 1/4 tsp crushed chili

In a deep dish, put tahini, lemon juice, garlic, water and salt. Mix the tahini until it becomes very smooth.

Add half cup of chickpeas. Using the potato masher or mortar, mash chickpeas with tahini, until it becomes very smooth.

Add the rest of the chickpeas. Using the spoon, stir the chickpeas with tahini.

In a deep serving dish, pour the Hummus Musabaha.

In a small skillet, put butter and pine nuts. Place the pan over medium heat. Using a wooden spoon, stir the pine until it becomes light golden in color.

Pour the butter and pine nuts on the Hummus Musabaha. Sprinkle chili pepper.

Serve the Hummus Musabaha directly with Arabic bread and pickles.
