 2.2 lbs (1 kg) fish fillet
 1.1 lbs (1/2 kg) short grain rice
 ghee
 vegetable oil
 flour
 3 tomatoes, sliced
 2 green bell pepper
 salt, to taste
 3 large onions, sliced
 1 tablespoon mixed spices
 1 teaspoon black pepper
 1 teaspoon ground cumin
 1 teaspoon dry coriander
 minced parsley and fried nuts for decoration

Wash the fish well with salt and vinegar, and rub it with flour, then fry it until golden. Put aside.

Put onion slices in a skillet, and fry until golden. Put aside.

Cut the bell pepper into thin slices and fry with the same oil. Put aside.

Put the ghee in a pot over medium heat, then add onions, all the spices, salt, and a little bit of water, and let it boil a little, until the water becomes dark.

Wash the rice well, then soak it in water for ten minutes and drain it. Put the rice over the onions, then stir the ingredients, cover the pot, and leave the rice to simmer.

To serve, carefully turn the content of the pot upside down onto a large plate. On top put tomato slices, bell pepper and fish pieces.

Garnish with fried almonds, finely chopped parsley and serve hot.
